The appointment is part of the plan
Appointment availability can set the application date more than document preparation does. In some cities the wait is short; in others it is the binding constraint.
Travel to the centre is a real cost, and a missed appointment can mean a new fee and a new wait. Book the slot before committing to a submission date.
Frequently asked questions
How long are biometrics valid?
Validity varies by system and route, and some applicants can reuse a previous enrolment. Check the rule for your application.
Can I send someone in my place?
No. Biometrics are personal and require attendance, subject to the exemptions the route allows.
