The requirement has a shape
Some routes ask for a balance held on a date, some for a balance held over a period, and some for a monthly income. The shape decides which documents are relevant, so read the requirement before assembling a folder.
A larger balance does not compensate for the wrong document. If the route asks for six months of statements, one certified screenshot is not a substitute.
Frequently asked questions
Can I show funds in more than one account?
Often yes, if the accounts are in the accepted list and the statements cover the required period. Check whether joint or foreign accounts count.
Do investments count?
Sometimes, but they may need to be liquid or convertible. The accepted asset types are defined by the route.
